Dear clients,
With the recent retirement (and semi-retirement) of several of our veterinarians, we have had difficulties providing adequate staffing for our current hours of operation. We are actively seeking new veterinarians, but have had great difficulty due to a nationwide shortage. In order to continue to provide high quality and reliable service, we have temporarily had to adjust our hours of operation. The Plains Veterinary Hospital will now be open from Monday to Thursday 8am-6pm. On Friday, we will continue to be open 8am -5pm and Saturday 8:30am-12pm.
We understand that this may cause a hardship for some of our long term clients who enjoyed the Tuesday and Thursday evening hours. This was not an easy decision to make, but had to be considered so that reliable service could be offered to all our patients during our hours of operation. We hope that we are able to find high quality candidates soon and may be able to reintroduce our evening appointments. Until then, late afternoon appointments, drop off appointments or Saturday hours are available to help accommodate our patient's needs. For after hour emergencies we continue to recommend AVET in Parkersburg or Diley Hill in Canal Winchester.
